Teacher's Edition, Student Workbook, & complete Trilogy available

I have never been more excited than to be able to announce the addition of Amelia Harper's fabulous literature analysis of J.R.R. Tolkien's famous Lord of the Rings trilogy to our BRAIN-athon Emporium product line!

Literary Lessons from The Lord of the Rings offers highschoolers a full credit course that offers fill-in-the-blank summary sheets (with page references for the compatible paperback or hardback versions of the trilogy), vocabulary exercises, literary devices, tests, quizzes, comprehension questions, writing assignments, and Unit Studies covering Tolkien, CS Lewis, Arthurian Legends, Beowulf, Shakespeare, Hobbit & Elven poetry, and more!  She intricately weaves in additional notes from Tolkien's letters, notes, and other books to give fullness to the story of the Fellowship that has been loved by many.

Your highschoolers will walk away with a better understanding of Tolkien the professor, writer, linguist, and lover of Middle Earth.  They will also see how Hollywood license lends itself to shortcuts, character substitutions, and other liberties that will strengthen your students' appreciation for the written word directly from the author's pen over the theatrical freedom that is moviedom.

So get ready to enter Middle Earth, join the Fellowship, and fall in love with reading Tolkien's LOTR Trilogy.

NOTE: My 10 year old joined us with his own workbook.  While I did not assign him some of the more intensive writing assignments, he completed all of the workbook activities, did a few of the writing assignments that he insisted on doing, and read the entire trilogy.  Thanks, Amelia!

KANOODLE is a HIT

at the Homeschoolers of Maine Conference!

There were plenty of homeschool kids at the HOME Conference, and at any given moment, any number of them could be found at our booth!

WHY?  Well, Marley and I decided to open one of our new Kanoodle games to see if it was all it was cracked up to be.  The response was overwhelming, as many kids spent literally HOURS taking turns setting up 2D and 3D puzzles for each other to solve during the 2-day event.

At one point, one of the boys who had volunteered to help the vendors during the weekend, called one of his associates on his walky-talky to find his location and get him back to the vendor hall. "Meet me at the KANOODLE BOOTH," Jake W. was overheard stating into his handset.  Oh no!  Now I have to change my signs - lol!

Kanoodle will now be available to play at our event booths and will also be featured as the prize for each of our convention drawings.  Jake even won the drawing at HOME!

We're ordering plenty to bring with us all conference season - we just pray that our supplier can keep up with the demand!  Kanoodle retails for just $9.99.
